The battle is engaged for many months, but today we guess the winner…
The recent decision from Warner has already converted 70% of Hollywood to the Blu-ray.
Paramount would switch to the Blu-ray, so the two great studios staying on the HD-DVD side are Universal & Dreamworks.
Michael Bay, the director of “Pearl Harbor”, “The Island et Transformers”, has always qualified the HD DVD format as a Microsoft conspiracy
It would be a great revenge for Sony, who lost the battle against VHS twenty years ago. Sony whas the creator of the Betamax format, considered as one of the best formats (with V2000, that disappeared too, from Philips) whereas VHS was the worst.
We can’t stop thinking about Apple vs Microsoft : again , Microsoft won a battle and succeeded in deploying Windows on 90% of PCs over the world , whereas Mac OS (Apple) , i consider better, stayed very confidential during many years…but today, things are (quite) slowly changing.

On my side, i think i will switch to the Blu-Ray …rumors say the Macs would be equiped with a Blu-Ray player
